The Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) was started on 7 January, 2000 with the following objectives:
- To provide a single window delivery system for the products and services of the institute to the farmers and other interested groups as a process of innovativeness in technology dissemination
- To facilitate direct access of the farmers to the institutional resources available in terms of technology, advice, technology products like seed, plant saplings, small implements, value added products etc. for reducing technology dissemination losses
- To provide mechanism for feedback from the users to the Institute

Sale of institute products
Institute is producing a large number of technological products in the form of seed, plant sapling of horticultural, forestry, flowers, and pesticides, manures, animal feeds, value added products from fruit, milk and crop produces, small implements etc. All these products are being sold to the stakeholders in the ATIC at a reasonable price. |

Many of the different stakeholders including farmers, farmers-entrepreneurs, extension workers, NGOs, students and representatives from private sector organizations from different states of the country are visiting the institute daily. As per the need and requirements of the visitors technical advice is being provided to them. Every year about 10-12 thousand farmers/ visitors visit the ATIC in groups or as individuals. |

Technologies developed by the institute like seeds of improved varieties, bio-pesticides, bio-fertilizers, animal feed blocks, value added products etc. has been exhibited through attractive display boards and live samples in the ATIC complex. Visitors are welcome to visit the ATIC exhibition during office hour (10 am to 5 pm). |

A number of extension publications have been developed in the form of leaflets and folders and displayed in the ATIC. All leaflets and folders have been written in Hindi on various aspects viz. improved cultivation practices of rabi and kharif crops, fruit crops, organic farming, improved livestock management, agri- entrepreneurship etc. All the leaflets and folders are available free of cost for the farmers. |

ATIC is having well-furnished audio-visual hall with LCD facility for showing the film on CAZRI technologies to the visiting farmers and other stakeholders. It is a regular process to show the CAZRI film to the visitors. |

A number of the farmers come daily to visit the institute. ATIC is coordinating the exposure visits cum training of the farmers and other stakeholders on regular basis as per the interest of the visitors. Lectures on the topics of interest are organized and the visitors are taken to different units and farms like Central nursery, agrostology, horticulture, livestock production, implements and solar yard, protected agriculture, organic farming, integrated farming system, desert botanical garden and KVK. Depending on the interest the visitors are also exposed to the activities like mushroom production, animal feed unit, value addition laboratory etc. |

ATIC is providing facility to the farmers for water and soil testing at nominal charges. Report of the test is being given to the farmers by hand or by post as earliest as possible. |

A number of farmers contact ATIC through letters and telephone for getting solutions to the problems related their crops, livestock, etc. The reply of the queries of the farmers are provided regularly either through letters or telephone. |

ATIC is providing disease and insect diagnostic facilities and also provides immediate advice of the concerned scientists to address a particular problem. |
